End the District Line disruption

Wandsworth Lib Dems are demanding that the Mayor of London invests in the modernisation of the District Line’s Wimbledon Branch to end the disruption.

Nearly every week, commuters and families are let down by the closure of this service and are forced to arrive late to work or school.

Furthermore, this issue is compounded by the lack of communication from TFL operators. The branch regularly closes at a moment’s notice without any communication as to when it might be operational again. It can sometimes be minutes. It can sometimes be hours. In a city like ours, this simply cannot be allowed to continue.

It is understood that this branch faces unique problems because the signalling is maintained and operated by Network Rail, unlike on other parts of the network that are fully operated by TFL.

TFL and Network Rail must work together to deliver the investment and modernisation that the Wimbledon Branch urgently needs. Please sign our petition to join our calls.

End the District Line disruption

Local Lib Dems are calling on The Mayor of London to deliver the necessary investment to modernise the Wimbledon Branch of the District Line.
